We also ship worldwide. Shipping rates are a flat cost for Europe and Rest of the World. Delivery times for Europe are 3-5 working days and 5-7 working days for the Rest of the World.
Provided the goods are returned in the same condition as when delivered, unused, unfitted, and not tampered with in any way. Once inspected, we’ll issue a refund.
Refunds are processed promptly once returned goods have been inspected. In most cases, funds will be back in your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
Gen 1 BMW MINI ARP Con Rod Bolts - Part Number: 206-6008 - fits BMW MINI Gen 1 2001 -2006 1.6 SOHC Tritec engine.
ARP® manufactures replacement rod bolts for the MINI Tritec engine that are made of premium grade 8740 chrome moly steel and heat treated to a nominal tensile strength of 200,000 psi. Threads are rolled after heat treat to ensure optimum fatigue strength. They are far superior to OEM fasteners in terms of durability and service life—fully capable of handling the extra stress of high combustion pressure engines.
ARP BMW 1.6L MINI COOPER 4-CYL Rod Bolt Installation
[1] Please check the part-number(s) for your application against the part-number(s) listed on the instruction sheet.
[2] Make sure there is an adequate chamfer around the bolt hole on the connecting rod cap to clear the radius under the head of the bolt.
[3] Use ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant to lubricate the threads of the bolt and the under head of the bolt. Then install the bolts and tighten them hand tight.
[4] ARP recommends using the STRETCH METHOD when tightening rod bolts. Following the instructions for using a stretch gauge, Stretch the bolts to . 0055 - . 0060 .
[5] If you do not have a stretch gauge, torque the bolts to 35 ft-lbs using ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant.
[6] The connecting rods should always be re-sized after new rod bolts are installed.
[7] A log should be kept on the original non-torqued length of each bolt. Bolts that have any permanent deformation or have increased in non-torqued length by more than .001 in. should be replaced.
