Gen 1 BMW MINI ATI Super Damper part no 917992 for £394.62. This new design is a direct replacement for the stock OEM MINI Cooper S damper from 2001 through 2006.
The heart of this unit is the tried and true “damper within a damper” design that has put ATI ahead of the rest.
The outer shell has been machined to allow OEM serpentine belt locations, and includes laser-etched timing marks.
Unlike some of the other aftermarket solid crankshaft pulleys the ATI retains a damper to help eliminate harmful crankshaft harmonics.
Exceeds SFI 18.1 specification.
We use this product on "Old Red" turbocharged engine, with rpm shift points bewteen 8600-9200 and figures of 588whp acheived to run 142mph in the 1/4 of a mile, you can defintley say there is a lot of strain / torisional twist happening to the stock MINI forged crankshaft.
