Euro Sport Compact Round 2, Santa Pod

We entered the Street Car Nationals at Santa Pod with the main aim of, making a list of things to do or to take with us for the Main Event at the end of the month, luckly we did as the list is very long.

Euro Sport Compact is now racing under MSA rules for the first time.......which means you have to weigh your car after qualifying and each race.......usually this is just a formality, I was against the No1 qualifier James Hoddeson who runs consitant 10s in his VW Golf.......well for whatever reason James was under weight for 2 power adders of 1050kg by a measley 3kg, which ment that we went through to the final.

We lost in the final to Paul Bargate in his VW Scirroco who was also having problems meeting the weight requirements for his combination of being natually aspirated with 1 power adder (nitrous), we had to sell Paul 20 litres of fuel to get his car over weight, usually he runs 1 gallon in his stock tank.

We were happy though that in the final that Old Man Webster actually netted his best ever reaction time in the MINI of .002, we put this massive improvement to the new M&H Slicks and the new K Sport suspension we're testing.........the only problem is he needs those lights consistantly at the end of the month to have any chance of going any rounds at the Main Event in Super Street....oh and consitant 10.900s.
