Old Red's new block - 14 February 2012
Thomas & Jack have started Old Red's engine rebuild........this is the only block at 1320 which matched the stock Wosssner forged piston to wall clearance requirement.

Paul and Thomas remembered that this crank has always been in Old Red from day one.........so that must be well over 500 1/4 mile passes 30k road miles and about 6 track days.

Not the best start to a Monday - 06 February 2012
Unfortunatley when Thomas & Scott got to work this morning they found that the workshop was under water........which you would think is bad enough but then they looked in the dyno pit and found our worst nightmare had happened 29 inches of water

Thankfully Matt & Tour de Force has offered the use of his Superflow rolling road which is about 10-15 mins away.....so business as usual :)

Jack's 1st time on the dyno - 28 January 2012
So 5 days after starting at 1320 Jack got his car on the dyno late Friday afternoon.........Jack will be tuning / re mapping his MINI One with Cooper S running gear himself next week with some of our 550cc Bosch Injectors as the stock 330cc injectors were at 100% duty cycle at 6000rpm and thus the air / fuel ratio was to lean.

1320's New Apprentice - 25 January 2012

We are pleased to announce that Jack Pirondini has started his 2nd year as an apprentice here at 1320

Jack has already completed his NVQ 1 & 2 back in his hometown of Leeds but really wanted to  further his knowledge of tuning and racing MINIs……..we tried to put him off J but he insisted this is his dream job and was up for the challenge of working at 1320.

Jack already has a huge amount of experience modifying his own MINI One which will add to the http://www.1320.co.uk/topic/21-employee-cars.aspx section

Jack's first Job was to remove the engine & gearbox from this R56 and re-fit it to Old Rattler

I’m sure you’ll join me in wishing him every success for his future @ 1320.
